Basic Search
1. Log into World Book online. When you enter you will see the home page. In the center of the home page is a search box.
2. In the search box, typw in the world you would like to look up.
3. On the World Book Online we created a sample search.
4. Our search was on polar bears. When we pressed enter 44 results came up.
5. When the results came up we clicked on the first website.
6. We clicked on one of the sites and on the top there is a box that says tools inside the tool box there are many different thing you can pick such as print, save article, research, hear text, read out loud, email article, highlight search terms, and even translate text.
7. On the left hand side of the page there is a box entitled article contents in side of this box it contains the information that tells you the different topics in the article.
8. This box helps you to see if this article is right for the research project that you are working on.
Advanced Search
1. Log into World Book online. When you enter you will see the home page. In the center of the home page is a search box.
2. On the side of the search box the will be a button saying, "Advanced Search."
3. When you click the button saying Advanced search a page will come up with many phrases with check boxes in which you can click. Examples on these phrases are Search for a phrase and Search for all these words.
4. On the right hand said there is a search box where you can type in your search item.

6. It comes u with the same amount of information as the basic search; however, you can personalize your search to specifics about your subject.
Preforming a Search
